Qigong is a healing system of movements, postures, breathing and meditations deriving from traditional Chinese medicine. Its purpose is to cultivate the flow of “qi” thereby promoting health and well-being. Qi is a concept that means vital energy, breath or spirit. Qigong assists in cultivating and balancing qi or life force and assists in harnessing one’s internal energy. It is helpful in reducing stress, building stamina, improving circulation and enhancing immune functions. It can be done in groups or one-one-one.
